A Next Generation SCR Design

The CCA TRIM-NOx™ SCR system meters precise amounts of a safe reagent – urea, into the exhaust stream of diesel or lean burn natural gas engines. When injected into the exhaust gas stream of an engine, urea decomposes to ammonia (NH3) and reacts with oxides of nitrogen (NOx) across a catalyst located downstream of the injection point to reduce NOx.

The integrated CCA TRIM-NOx™ SCR system comprises just 4 primary components. These include a tank (on which the ECU, pump, filter, level and urea pressure sensors are mounted), an injector, the catalyst housing, and a wiring harness.

Proprietary Injection System

• Proprietary Injection System to achieve optimum urea distribution.
• Airless System without an atomizing medium such as steam or compressed air.
• Programmable Electronic Controls that control the urea injection rate as a function of engine parameters such as rpm, load or NOx output
• Urea Injection begins at 250°C exhaust gas temperature, which enables the thermal decomposition of urea to ammonia upstream of the catalyst.
• Patented Self-Learn System that monitors key engine parameters and automatically populates the injection strategy map so that the system operates at peak performance under all conditions.
